100 days until the National Summer Games

With 100 days to go we’re on the hunt for 600 volunteers and starting preparations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

100 days until the National Summer Games

Unbelievably it is only 100 days until the Freemasons NZ Special Olympics National Summer Games in Hamilton 8-12 December!

In only 3 short months 1,400 athletes and coaches will be descending on Hamilton for 5 days of competition across 10 sports, the opening and closing ceremony and much more.  It will be fantastic to welcome you all and we can’t wait to get things underway.

Volunteers needed at the National Summer Games

We are looking for 600 volunteers to help us deliver an amazing experience for our teams and would really appreciate your help.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles, from general event volunteers, sports officials, health professionals, photographers, IT experts and much more!  So if you have time please join us or if you know of family or friends who may be able to assist, please ask them to register. It can be for several hours or days – all are very welcome!

Law Enforcement Torch Run

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is one of our most highly anticipated events leading up to the opening of the National Summer Games, giving us an opportunity to show case the NSG, what Special Olympics stands for and gives our athletes a wonderful community engagement opportunity as they and Law Enforcement officers carry the Flame of Hope across Aotearoa!
