#choosetoinclude at Wellington Round the Bays 2020
Special Olympics New Zealand offers a year-round programme of sports training and competition for children and adults with an intellectual disability. We have over 6000 athletes and 2500 volunteers across the country that participate in 13 Olympic type sports.
One aspect of the Special Olympics is Unified Sports. Unified Sports join people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
For the 2020 Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays, Special Olympics NZ are entering a super inclusive Unified race team, and we want you to be a part of it!
We are delighted be an affiliated charity partner of the 2020 Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays to be held on 16 February 2020.
