Volunteer Recognition

We could not do what we do without our outstanding volunteers, the below awards are to recognise and celebrate all the work that volunteers put in to the Special Olympics clubs across the country.

Club Service Awards

10 Years – Long Service

The Senior Volunteer Award is presented to volunteers who have continuously served Special Olympics New Zealand at Club level for 10 or more years.

20 Years – Long Service

The Senior Volunteer Award is presented to volunteers who have continuously served Special Olympics New Zealand at Club level for 20 or more years.

30 Years – Long Service

The Senior Volunteer Award is presented to volunteers who have continuously served Special Olympics New Zealand at Club level for 30 or more years.

Life Membership Award

The award of Life Membership is one of the highest honours that Special Olympics New Zealand can bestow. The award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to Special Olympics in New Zealand at local, regional, national or international level. Nominations for 2019 Life Membership awards closed October 31.

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honour that Special Olympics New Zealand can bestow upon an individual, company or body corporate. The award recognises an individual, company or body corporate that has made a significant and/or on-going contribution to Special Olympics New Zealand and/or its Clubs. Nominations for 2019 Life Membership awards closed October 31.
