It is with great sadness that we tell you that our patron John Holdsworth has passed away over the weekend.
Many of you may have met John and Merrill Holdsworth at any number of the Special Olympics events they have attended over the years. As patrons of Special Olympics New Zealand (SONZ) John and Merrill have made significant contributions to SONZ in support of our mission and are recipients of the Distinguished Service Award.
John is a Lifetime Member of IHC New Zealand and received the Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2011 for his service to business and the community.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Holdsworth family during this difficult time.
