Learn more about the health of Special Olympics athletes.

The Healthy Communities vision is to promote the health and wellbeing of Special Olympics athletes and others with intellectual disability … to enable the same access to health and wellness opportunities, resources and care as other members of the community … and for the same level of good health to be attained.

This one pager explains the health disparities experienced by people with intellectual disabilities and shows why Special Olympics is committed to promoting the health and well-being of athletes through its Healthy Communities initiatives.
