Special Olympics Horowhenua athlete Stephen Moody is an absolute “gentleman” and is a favourite addition on team trips away.
A man of few words, Stephen is a keen learner and will listen intently to coaching advice. He enjoys keeping fit and trains once a week in the pool and also walks for fitness.
The 40-year-old Palmerston North athlete has been training with Special Olympics for 30 years, with a focus predominantly on aquatics.
Fittingly for a ‘thinking man’, his favourite television show is the crime drama ‘Castle’. He is also a fan of cricket and the Tall Blacks basketball team. Outside of sport, Stephen works at his local supermarket in the produce department.
