Special Olympics Nelson athlete Sean Tremlett has been training with Special Olympics for the past four years.
A keen sportsman he trains with the Nelson basketball team each week and completes his own individual fitness-training schedule. He also keeps fit working at Nelson New World and in his family’s business Nelson Marlborough Commercial Cleaning Services.
The LA2015 World Summer Games will be the first time Sean has represented Special Olympics New Zealand internationally.
“I really like being part of Special Olympics, meeting new people, having new experiences, and being able to help people who are less capable than me. I’m really looking forward to the whole experience of the LA2015 Games, learning new skills and having a great time,” he says.
Outside of Special Olympics Sean often plays darts with his father, who he cites as one of his favourite sportsmen.
