2017 National Summer Games

Special Olympics New Zealand hosted the 9th National Summer Games in our capital city, Wellington.

Special Olympics National Summer Games 2017 was held from 27 November to 1 December and is New Zealand’s largest sports event for people with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics New Zealand started in Lower Hutt in 1983, thanks to our founders, Grant and Wendy Quinn so we are thrilled to be returning to our home turf.
