Michael Conder is passionate about golf and dreams of one day becoming a Special Olympics New Zealand Coach.
Michael represented New Zealand at the 2003 World Summer Games in Dublin, Ireland. He is now sharing his skills and experiences with his fellow golfers and assisting the Coach at their weekly training sessions.
As Global Messenger Michael is eager to encourage younger players to join the sport and Special Olympics New Zealand.
Michael is one of Special Olympics New Zealand’s pioneering athletes having joined the organisation back in 1980 playing tenpin bowling. For the past three years he has sat on the Special Olympics Tauranga Committee as Athlete Representative.
Michael lives with his wife, Janine, in their own home.
