NZCT (New Zealand Community Trust) is New Zealand’s biggest funder of amateur sport, returning over $40 million a year to a huge variety of sporting codes. It supports all levels of sport, from school teams and local clubs through to national sporting bodies and elite sports men and women. NZCT raises its funds through the operation of gaming machines in venues throughout the country and returns funds to these communities through the operation of Regional Advisory Committees who identify suitable recipients. While sport is its primary focus, NZCT also provides funding to charitable organisations specialising in rescue and life saving services, health, education, arts, and culture.
NZCT has been a strategic partner of Special Olympics New Zealand for many years. It supports specific projects upon application that focus on strengthening athlete development at community level.
Like all Special Olympics New Zealand’s investment partners, the NZCT is kept up-to-date of achievements and developments in Special Olympics New Zealand. We report regularly on the outcomes pertaining to our partnership and the impact that investment has on Special Olympics athletes.
